Statement of Purpose

   To Be Honest, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.*

 

   The purpose of this corporation is:

• To educate students in the use of cross platform media equipment such as proper use of video cameras, editing systems, and web design, while also teaching responsible storytelling, journalistic skills, and social media use

• To empower students, building confidence to share views, creativity, and problem solve

• To inform the community, for a better understanding of social and cultural issues

• To inspire students and their audience to become active participants in their communities

    In the event that To Be Honest, Inc. ceases to exist any remaining assets shall be conveyed to the current participating schools or organizations for which they were purchased/used/ or designated in active association with To Be Honest, Inc. Additional assets or property of any nature or description owned by To Be Honest, Inc. but not currently with a specific school or organization shall be paid over and transferred at the direction of the board.
